Kilim Maimana Wool Hand Knotted Pakistani Rug - 2'7" x 3'11" SKU: N13566

Two concentric stepped diamond medallions stack vertically through the centre of this Maimana, each diamond outlined in pale blue, lavender, and orange and filled with smaller diamond cores in alternating colours. The inner field around them is a warm honey colour, framed by a wide ivory border carrying the classic Maimana hourglass and triangle motifs in lavender, orange, and indigo. Hand woven in Pakistan in the slit-tapestry flatweave of northern Afghanistan, where the Maimana tradition originated. Wool, fully reversible, light enough to flip over once a year so the colours wear evenly on both sides. The geometric structure is bold but the palette is soft, which makes it work just as well in a contemporary room as in a more eclectic, layered one.
