This Baluch has the densest field of the group, the kind of all-over composition where small motifs fill every inch of the rug rather than leaving open ground. Small stylized vase shapes line the centre column from top to bottom in cream and gold, with the dark field around them packed with tiny crosses, stars, and stepped figures in deep red, indigo, and ivory. Even the four corners carry their own small cartouches with stylized animal motifs. The wider border carries the same dense vocabulary in repeating bands. Hand-knotted in Afghanistan by Baluch tribal weavers in soft wool. A piece this densely worked reads as textile more than as floor covering, and it rewards rooms where someone will actually sit close enough to notice all the small drawing.
