The signature move of this Super Khorjin is the rainbow. Between the panels of cream and mustard tribal diamonds, the weaver has run narrow striped bands in saturated blue, green, orange, yellow, and red, which gives the rug a small carnival inside what is otherwise a tribal Chobi composition. The contrast keeps the eye busy without tipping into chaos. Hand spun and hand knotted in Afghanistan using the finest grade of wool, finished in the all-natural Chobi-tradition dyes that hold their colour without fading. The Super Khorjin design lineage takes its name from the woven saddlebags Central Asian nomads carried across pack animals, which is where the horizontal panel structure comes from. Good fit for an eclectic room that already has personality in the furniture.
