The composition on this Kilim runs quieter than the typical kilim grid. Three large ivory stepped medallions sit centred down the length of the rug, the middle one carrying a deep slate diamond with a small star inside, the upper and lower medallions left mostly empty save for small geometric punctuation. The space around them stays calm, a soft slate-grey field with a thin terracotta-and-cream guard at the border.
